Al Attiyah Elected President of Arab Judo Federation
Amman, March 22 (QNA) - Khalid bin Hamad Al Attiyah, President of the Qatar Judo, Taekwondo and Karate Federation, won the presidency of the Arab Judo Federation by acclamation in the elections that took place in the Jordanian capital, Amman, today during the ordinary general assembly of the Arab Federation.
The elections for the remaining positions witnessed strong competition. Jordan's Ali Malhas won the vice president position, Egyptian Marzouk Mohammed was elected first vice president, Saudi Hussein al-Maliki took the post of second deputy, and e Tunisian Ahlam Al Shekhawi won the vice president's post for the female component.
The Board of Directors of the Executive Office included 7 members, namely Mohammed Al Sajwani (UAE), Ghanem Mahmoud (Djibouti), Imad Kaddour (Syria), Uday Al Rubaie (Iraq), Musa Aqil (Libya), Jihad Oweida (Palestine) and, Eid Al Enezi (Kuwait).
In his first statement after his elections, the President of the Qatar Judo, Taekwondo and Karate Federation said that the Arab Federation in its current session includes many big and prestigious names, who will work to support the sport of judo and develop its level and support the national federations in all Arab countries.
