Al-Gharafa Champion of Qatar Handball Association Cup

Doha, January 25 (QNA) - Al-Gharafa is the champion of Qatar Handball Association Cup for the 2020-2021 season after it wins over Al-Rayyan 29-28 in the match held today at Al-Duhail Sports Hall on the conclusion of the first group's competitions in the second round of the tournament. Al-Gharafa raised its score to 15 points to guarantee the first place, while Al-Rayyan came in the second place with 13 points. Hamad Al Nuaimi, member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Handball Association crowned Al-Gharafa as the champion of the tournament. Al-Ahli came in the third place by beating Al-Duhail 35-33, raising its score to 11 points against 7 points for Al-Duhail which came in the fourth place. Meanwhile, Al-Shamal won over Al-Khor 26-27 to come in the fifth place. The tournament was held without the international players who are taking part with Qatar National Handball Team in the 27th IHF Men's World Championship, currently taking place in Egypt. (QNA)
