Al-Sadd Champion of Qatargas U23 League

Doha, April 06 (QNA) - Al-Sadd clinched its first Qatargas U23 League title with a 5-0 win over Al-Gharafa in the Round 20 of the 2020-2021 season, raising its score to 54 points, a full 6 points difference from Al-Gharafa, the runner-up team. The goals of Al-Sadd made by Hassan Palang who scored the first and second goals in the 22nd and 40th minute, respectively, then Abdullah Al Yazidi who scored the third goal in the 48th minute, before Hashem Ali scored the fourth goal in the 60th minute. Palang then scored the fifth goal for Al-Sadd in the 72nd minute. On the other hand, Al-Arabi U23 team beat Al-Duhail 2-0 in the same round which saw Qatar SC defeating Al Sailiya 2-1, Al-Wakra winning over Al-Khor 2-0, Al-Kharaitiyat winning over Al-Ahly 2-1, and Al-Rayyan winning over Umm Salal 3-0. With these results, Al-Sadd maintain the lead with 54 points, with Al-Gharafa become the runner-up team with 48 point, then Qatar SC come in the third place with 37. The Round 21 competition will be held Wednesday and Thursday. (QNA)
