Al Shomos Wins Al Wukair Cup

Doha, November 11 (QNA) - The red filly "Al Shomos (QA)", owned by Mubarak bin Saeed Al Juffali Al Nuaimi, won first place in the seventh (main) race in the ninth horse race of the current season (2021-2022), which was organized by the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club today on the sandy track in Al Rayyan, to give its owner the title of Cup Al Wukair for purebred hybrid horses (local thoroughbred - conditional run) 1700 meters.
The winners of the race were crowned by acting CEO of the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club, Badr bin Mohammed Al Darwish.
The first round of the race witnessed the victory of the blonde mare "Sheikha", owned by "Al Ezz Stud", which was allocated to purebred hybrid horses of local thoroughbred handicap, equal to 65 and under, 3 years old and above, at a distance of 1200 meters.
The blond horse "Royal Court", owned by Al Murtages Racing Sandicte, won first place in the second round of the race, under the supervision of coach Mohammed bin Hamad Al Attiya, and rider Carlos Henrique.
In the third round, the red filly "Queenshala (FR)" owned by Umm Qarn, won first place under the supervision of coach Alban Elie De Mieulle and the rider, Ronan Thomas, in the race that was allocated to the female purebred Arabian horses, the novice plate and the winner of the race of 3 years and above at a distance of 1700 meters.
The red horse "Comrade In Arms", owned by Hassan Ali A M Alabdulmalik, won the first place in the fourth round, which was allocated to purebred horses, thoroughbred handicap (Class 5), 3 years old and above, under the supervision of coach Ahmed Kobeissi , and rider Qais Al Busaidi, which was held at a distance of 1900 meters.
The first place in the fifth round was won by the blue horse "AJS Al Aredh (QA)", owned by Al Ghazali Stud under the supervision of coach Gassim Ghazali and rider David Allan, which was allocated to the purebred Arabian handicap, 3 years old and above, for a distance of 1200 meters.
While the sixth round of the race, the blond horse "Zalej Al Cham (FR)", owned by Al Shaqab Racing, which was designated for purebred Arabian horses aged 3 years and above, won the first place at a distance of 1700 meters under the supervision of coach Alban Elie De Mieulle and rider Carlos Henrique.
