Al Wakra Tops Handball League

Doha, April 08 (QNA) - Al-Wakra continued their lead in the General Men's Handball League after its big victory over Al-Shamal with a score of 39-27 in the match that brought them together today in the 11th round of the league. Al Wakrah, who finished the first half 19-13 ahead, raised its score with this victory to 30 points at the top of the standings, while Al Shamals balance after losing 15 points became eighth. In a second match, Al Arabi achieved an easy victory over Qatar SC, with a score of 30-20, after the first half ended with a 14-10 lead. With this win, Al Arabi points went up to 29 in second place, while Qatar SC have 13 points in tenth place. In the third match, Al Rayyan defeated Al-Ahli 25-24, and the first half ended in his favor by 10-13. Al Rayyans went up to 24 points in fifth place, compared to 22 points for Al-Ahli in sixth place. The eleventh round of the Qatari General Handball League for men will be completed tomorrow,Thursday, with two matches between Al Duhail vs Al Gharafa and Al Sadd vs Al Khor. (QNA)
