Alba to sponsor royal night half marathon

Manama, Dec.7 (BNA): Preparations are being stepped up to organize the royal night half marathon (21.0975 kilometres) on December 23. Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (ALBA will sponsor the race which will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al- Khalifa. Alba Chief Executive Officer Ali Al Baqali expressed the company’s pride at sponsoring the half marathon under the royal auspices for the third time. In a statement, he noted Alba’s support to the sectors of youth and sports and keenness on events held in Bahrain. Bahrain Athletics Association (BAA) Chairman Mohammed Abdullatif bin Jalal hailed Alba’s role in supporting youth and sports events in Bahrain. The royal half marathon, one of the key athletics events, was first launched in 2019. The second edition was held successfully in 2021.
