Ali Essa wins BREEF Championship's Grand Prize

Manama, Mar. 25 (BNA): Ali Essa has jumped to victory in the Grand Prize of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) Showjumping Championship which featured obstacles ranging between 130 and 140 cms. Riding Vivika, the victor outperformed his competitors, posting a time of 52.23 seconds, while Saber Salman Faraj came second on Bahrain BDF (59.78), followed by Ahmed Mansoor (62.67) in third place on Alteka Du Fort BDF. The second and third place winners made four faults each, but Essa's run to victory was flawless. Ahmed Akbar won the title of the second competition for senior participants (level two) which was held in two phases with obstacles of 115-125cm. Completing the event in 60.38 seconds, Akbar was riding Elessi Horse Pride and he collected 65 points after finishing the competition. The second and third places went to Ali Hani Al Yabis and Ahmed Mansoor respectively. The title of the first competition for senior participation (level one) went to Mayoof Al Rumaihi who was riding Brestal when he took part in the race. The event included obstacles of 100-110cm, and Sayed Mohammed Mahmood finished second and Hani Al Yabis in third. Al Rumaihi was on top form during the Championship as he also captured the second competition for young participants. Jamiela Haseid triumphed in the first competition for young competitors.
