Azerbaijani chess players make successful start to Sunway Sitges Chess Festival 2022

Baku, December 13, AZERTAC Azerbaijani players Vasif Durarbayli, Eltaj Safarli and female player Ulviyya Fataliyeva have claimed their first win each scoring a point at the Sunway International Chess Festival, held in Sitges, town in Barcelona, Spain on December 12-22. The Swiss system tournament features 10-rounds. The time control is 90 minutes for the first 40 moves plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game with a 30-second increment from the first move. The tournament brought together a total of 150 chess players.
