Bahrain to host OCA Gender Equity Seminar

Manama, Oct. 13 (BNA): The OCA Gender Equity Seminar will open on October 30 under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, SCYS First Deputy Chairman, GSA Chairman and BOC President. The two-day seminar which concludes on October 21, will be organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), in cooperation with Bahrain Olympic Committee. Over ninety leading sports figures representing different Asian committees and bodies from 41 countries will converge on Bahrain to attend the continental forum. BOC Secretary General Fares Mustafa Al Kooheji expressed thanks and gratitude to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for supporting sports events and conferences, which bolsters Bahrain’s standing. BOC board member Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa praised HH Shaikh Khalid’s patronage, stressing his keenness on hosting sports events in Bahrain and supporting the role of women.
