Bahrain to play Iraq in West Asian Youth Championship

Manama, Nov.21 (BNA): Bahrain will tomorrow, Monday, take on Iraq in the second edition of the West Asian Youth Championship, being held in Iraq. The match is scheduled to kick off at 5 pm at Basra International Stadium, as part of Group A which also includes Palestine, Kuwait and Yemen. The national youth team edged past Palestine 2-1 in the first round, while Iraq beat Kuwait 3-0. Bahrain took the lead through Mubarak Mohammed in the first half of the match, before Palestine equalised before the break. Abdulla Al Subaie scored the winning goal for Bahrain six minutes before the end of the match.
