Barcelona Officially Introduces Xavi Hernandez as Coach at Camp Nou

Barcelona, November 08 (QNA) - Barcelona presented its new coach, Xavi Hernandez, to the fans at the famous Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona. Xavi told the fans after entering the field alongside president Joan Laporta: "I am very excited, we are the best club in the world, and we will work hard to be successful." Xavi returned to Barcelona with a contract that lasts until 2024, after six years spent as a player and then a coach with the Qatari club Al Sadd, in an attempt for the Spanish club to stop its technical collapse as it occupies ninth place in the Spanish League. The 2010 world champion held the Catalan club shirt in 767 matches between 1998 and 2015, and crowned with 25 titles with the team, including the Spanish League title eight times and the European Champions League four times. Xavi also carried the colors of Al Sadd as a player for four seasons, then led the team as a coach to the league title last season and HH the Amir's Cup title in the last two years. (QNA)
