Basketball: Al Gharafa to Face Al Shamal in Final of Qatar Cup

Doha, February 01 (QNA) - Al Gharafa and Al Shamal reached Monday the final of Qatar Cup for basketball. Al Gharafa reached the final after beating Qatar 83-72. Meanwhile Al Shamal edged past Al Sadd 74-73. Al Shamal entered the fourth quarter holding a three-point lead, and Al Sadd tried to mount a comeback but eventually came up short. Al Gharafa will be looking to win the cup for fourth time out of a total eight editions of the cup that were organized. Meanwhile Al Shamal will be looking for their first ever title. Al Gharafa is the only team to win the cup more than once, having won the competition on 2014, 2015, and 2017. (QNA)
