Doha Hosts Australian Open Qualifiers

Doha, January 10 (QNA) - The Australian Open (AO) 2021 men's qualifiers will start on Sunday at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha. The tournament will feature a total of 128 players who will be competing for 16 qualifying spots in the Australian Open main draw to be held in Melbourne from February 8 to 21. The AO qualifiers will be open to fans without tickets, but they have to reserve their seats as only 30 percent of the capacity will be available, in accordance with the regulations and procedures in place in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Organizing Committee has completed all its preparations to host the AO qualifiers in a healthy and safe environment, as all workers and volunteers in the preliminary rounds have undergone a COVID-19 examination to confirm their safety.
