Efforts harnessed for Strongest Bahraini Man Championship success

Manama, Feb. 17 (BNA): The High Organising Committee of the 2nd Strongest Bahraini Championship is gearing up to finalise the last organisational details of the prestigious event which will be held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Athletics Association. Taking place under the slogan #Be_a_Beast, the event will kick-off on February 21 andl conclude on February 23 at Bahrain International Circuit. The event will begin with participants confirming their registration and receive their gears, while the following day will witness the main activities of the championship, including several supporting events such as the Strongest Bahraini Kid and Colour Marathon. Supporting contests for adults will be organised on the same day too. On the last day of the championship, the finals of the main competitions of the Championship will be held, including the vehicle lifting competition, the tyre lifting challenge, pulling Al Karkour contest, Al Saqay walk and pulling the car in the approved weights (the lightweight, the middleweight and the heavyweight). With only four days remaining prior to the kick-off, the High Organising Committee of the event is working tirelessly to make the event a huge success. On this occasion, Minister of Information Affairs Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi stressed that the Ministry of Information Affairs is keen to keep up with Bahrain's main sports events and showcase them in the best possible way as they represent an opportunity to promote the Kingdom of Bahrain. He considered that the Ministry of Information Affairs is a key partner to support the 2nd Strongest Bahraini Man Championship by harnessing all its capabilities and efforts to make this event a huge success. The minister explained that the championship has achieved strong resonance at the continental and international levels in accordance to the goals set by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for holding this event to cement Bahrain's leading position in the international sports scene. Moreover, The minister praised HH Shaikh Khalid's efforts towards providing all support to the Bahraini youth, pointing out that HH's initiatives have contributed to empowering them as well as the sports movement in Bahrain.
