Falconry contestants' registration extended to January 1

Manama, Dec. 22 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, has instructed to extend the deadline for contestants to register in Bahrain Falconry and Hunting Contest to January 1 instead of December 15. HH Shaikh Nasser expressed his delight at the growing demand from owners of Falcons to participate in this year's edition of the contest, affirming that it reflected his great keenness to run competitions to highlight and stage such national heritage sports event, adding the ongoing efforts to translate the insights and guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to maintain these sports associated with Arabian heritage as well as support hobbyists to develop their falconry capabilities and skills.
