FIFA Club World Cup 2020: Mexico's Tigres UANL to Meet Brazil's Palmeiras

Doha, February 06 (QNA) - Mexico's Tigres UANL will meet their Brazilian Palmeiras counterpart at Education City Stadium on Sunday, as part of the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup 2020 that is being held in Qatar till Feb. 11, 2021. Tigres UANL are taking part in the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time in their history, weeks after winning the CONCACAF Champions League 2020 title . They seek to achieve their second victory, reach the final and claim a historic achievement in the tournament, after beating South Korean Ulsan Hyundai 2-1l at the start of their Club World Cup campaign. Tigres UANL will become the first Mexican team and the first CONCACAF team to reach the Club World Cup final if they win tomorrow's match. Throughout all past World Cups, the third place was the best achievement for the CONCACAF representatives. Brazilian Palmeiras will start their tournament tomorrow, one week after winning Copa Libertadores by defeating Santos 1-0 in an all-Brazilian final. Palmeiras are competing in the Club World Cup for the first time in their history, and they seek to win the match tomorrow to qualify for the final for the first time, hoping to claim the title for their country and the South American continent.
