FIFA Club World Cup: Al Duhail and Al Ahli Drawn Together

Zurich, January 19 (QNA) - The draw for the FIFA Club World Cup saw Qatar's Al Duhail, the hosts, meet Egypt's Al Ahli the African champions. The draw also saw Mexico's Tigres UANL and South Korea's Ulsan Hyundai FC play one another. The competition will begin on February 4 with those two matches. Winners of Al Duhail and Al Ahli face UEFA Champions League winners Bayern Munich in the semi-final of the competition on Feb. 8. Winners from the other match between Tigres and Ulsan Hyundai will meet the winner of Copa Libertadores, which is yet to be determined. That second semi-final will take place on Feb. 7. Santos and Palmeiras meet in the final of Copa Libertadores on Jan. 30. The final of the FIFA Club World Cup will take place on Feb. 11. Matches will be played at Education City and Ahmed bin Ali stadiums, after excluding Khalifa International Stadium. (QNA)
