FIFA Club World Cup: Egypt's Al Ahly to Face Bayern Munchen Monday

Doha, February 07 (QNA) - African champions Al Ahly SC of Egypt will face European champions FC Bayern Munchen in the second semi-final of FIFA Club World Cup 2020 to be played on Monday at Ahmed bin Ali stadium. Al Ahly had qualified for this round after they secured a 1-0 win over Qatar hosts Al Duhail, thus booking a place in the semi-finals against the German giant in a test that would be very difficult. Despite Al-Ahly's participation in the tournament for the sixth time, tomorrow's match will be the team's first meeting with the European champion. They reached the golden square in only two previous times, winning in 2006 third place and in 2012 fourth after losing to Brazilian Internacional and Corinthians respectively.
