FIFA Club World Cup: Mexico's Tigres Coach Hopes Team Edge Past Palmeiras

Doha, February 06 (QNA) - Mexico's Tigres coach Ricardo Ferretti said tomorrow's match against Brazil's Palmeiras in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2020 would see both sides playing strongly and excitingly, affirming his confidence in players' ability to edge past the Copa Libertadores champions.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of Sunday's match, Ferretti added that his team was ready to face a strong team like Palmeiras, saying they will face a strong and experienced opponent. He said that he was aware of Brazilian football, strength and great presence at the South American level and at the level of clubs or national teams, but the Mexican team has the ability to win and reach the Club World Cup final.
The Tigres coach said: "We know what Palmeiras represent and that they're Libertadores champions, which I know all about, being a Brazilian. We'll confront them like we did Ulsan."
He also said that his team had succeeded in their last match to beat Asian champions Ulsan Hyundai and qualify for the semi-final match of the competition, stressing that his team now have another, more difficult game to win in order to reach the final that will be held on Feb. 11, 2021. (QNA)
