Doha, April 01 (QNA) - Qatar national football team is looking forward to writing a new history with its 1st participation in the World Cup after the team was placed in a group that includes strong, experienced teams that have previously participation in the World Cup finals. The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 draw placed Qatar national team in front a new challenge in Group A, as it will compete against Ecuador, Senegal and the Netherlands. The Qatari team, with its modern history, will play in the World Cup for the first time against Ecuador, which it never faced before in an official or friendly match in any of the tournaments it participated in recently. It will also face Senegal in the second match, and then the Netherlands in the third match in the group.
