Finnish surgeon begins visit

Manama, Nov. 7 (BNA): Dr. Jussi Rantanen’s medical consultant has started a two-day visit to Bahrain to offer his vast experience in the field of orthopedic injuries at Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC)’s National Sports Medicine Centre. This is the third visit for Rantanen to Bahrain this year, having been at the centre in June and August during which he undertook a number of surgeries and examination for patients. It’s worth noting that appointments at the centre premises at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town are limited on first-come-first-serve basis. Rantanen has been an orthopedic surgeon in Finland since 1998 and is a founder of a hospital where he is chairman of the board. This initiative is part of the National Sports Medicine Centre plan to offer the quality medical treatment services for athletes and non-athletic people.
