Former GCC Chief Describes National Sports Day as a creative Plate

Doha, February 14 (QNA) -The former GCC Chief Abdulrahman Bin Hamad Al Attiyah has described as a creative plate that has painted illustrative scenes of the dimensions of the overall view stemmed from the process of building , advancement and reform led by HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al THani and in support and follow up of the generous initiative of HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani. In an exclusive interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA) on Tuesday, after having participate in the national sports day celebrations and activities on the doha corniche , HE Al Attiyah said the state's national sports day is considered leading step to be added to Qatar's record of leading and positive initiatives in the several fields and at all national , regional and international levels. That national day in which all the Qatari citizens and the residents alike have participated in would contribute to spreading the sports culture that would in turn much contribute to supporting the process of progress and development the state of Qatar has been witnessing since sports plays a vital role in building the body and the mind, said HE the GCC Secretary General . HE Abdulrahman Bin Hamad Al Attiyah referred to the due care and attention the wise ledership has accorded to the sports day as being in consistance with the successful strategic vision which has achieved and would achieve further gains and accomplishments in several domains with emphasis in the sports domain and noted in this concern to the success qatar has achieved in organising the Doha Asian Games 2006 and qatar's winning of hosting the 2022 world cup and its request to host the 2020 Summer Olympics. The former GCC Chief in this context confirmed the active presence the State of Qatar has achieved in the regional and international sports events, which also reflects the success of qatar's policy and diplomacy that gain the respect of the brethrens, the friends and the people who are eager for freedom and justice in the Arab spring time. Concluding HE Al Attiyah affirmed that setting a national day of the state also represents a challenge for young people and all members of society for interacting with this great idea, which stresses once again that the State of Qatar and its wise leadership are always looking forward to the new and leading horizons .(QNA)
