GCC Youth Basketball Championship: Qatar Beat Kuwait in Close Match 73-70

Manama, August 10 (QNA) - The Qatari basketball team defeated its Kuwaiti counterpart (73-70) on Tuesday in the third round of the 16th GCC Youth Basketball Championship, which Bahrain hosts till August 13. The championship qualifies for the Asian Cup finals. With this victory, the Qatari team raised its score to 4 points to rank in the third place, one point ahead of Kuwait which ranks fourth. The confrontation between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain will determine the first and the second places. On the sidelines of the Championship, the GCC Basketball Organizing Committee held a meeting today in which it was decided that Bahrain would host the 41st edition of the Gulf Champions Club Championship, from May 13 to 21, 2022.
