Texas, July 26 (QNA) - USA's national football team qualified to meet Qatar in the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup after their difficult victory over Jamaica 1-0 at dawn today at the end of the quarter-finals. The goalless tie lasted 82 minutes before the US team managed to steal a goal scored by Matthew Hope, to face Qatar, which had qualified by beating El Salvador 3-2 yesterday in the opening match of the quarter-finals. Canada also advanced to the semi-finals by beating Costa Rica 2-0. The Canadian national team took the qualification ticket, with two goals scored by Junior Hewlett and Stephen Antunes in the 18th and 69th minutes.
