Guatemala and Suriname Take First Wins in the CONCACAF Qualifiers World Cup 2022 Qatar

Guatemala City, March 25 (QNA) - The Guatemalan national team defeated guests Cuba 1-0 in the first round of the third group matches of the North, Central American and Caribbean qualifiers (CONCACAF), which qualified for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The Guatemalan national team owes its win to Luis Martinez, who scored the only goal in the 59th minute. In another match, the Suriname national team defeated their guests the Cayman Islands 3-0 in the first round of Group Two, North, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) qualifiers. The goals of the Suriname national team were scored by Shaquille Pinas in the 21st minute, then Ryan Dunk added the second goal from a penalty kick in the 38th minute, before Gliovilo Hasselbaink finished the scoring in the 78th minute. North, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar will be held with the participation of 30 teams in the first round, as it was divided into six groups of five teams each.
