Handball: Al Rayyan and Al Arabi Reach the Final of the Amir Cup

Doha, May 24 (QNA) - Al Rayyan and Al Arabi teams qualified for the final match of the Amir Cup for handball for the 2020/2021 sports season, after the first victory over Al Gharafa, and Al Wakrah respectively, in the two semi-final matches today. In the first match, Al Rayyan defeated Al Gharafa, 29/22. Al Rayyan deserved the win, as they outclassed their opponents throughout. They ended the first half 14/13, then extended the lead in the second half to seven goals. Al Arabi joined Al Rayyan in the final match after a big victory over Al Wakrah 36/20 in the second semi-final. The match was also a one-sided affair, Al Arabi finished the match in the first half when they amassed an 11-goal lead 18-7. The team then went on in the second half to extend the lead even further to 16. The final will take place Saturday. (QNA)
