Head of Yemen's National Team Delegation Thanks Qatar for Organizing 2021 FIFA Arab Cup

Doha, June 21 (QNA) - Head of Yemen's national team Sameer Al Khalqi thanked the State of Qatar for its hosting and organization of the Head of the delegation of the Somalian football national team Samir Al Khalqi praised the organization of the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup qualifiers. He said that the event was historic, given that it was unprecedented that for all Arab teams to play in one football competition supported by FIFA. He expressed his hope that the level competition will reflect well on Arab football. He said that the Yemeni team is facing difficult circumstances given current conditions in the country and the COVID-19 pandemic which complicated matters further. He noted that the team played the last three matches of the Asian qualifiers in Saudi Arabia without preparations. (QNA)
