HH the Amir Cup: Al Sadd Qualifies for Quarterfinals after Beating Muaither

Doha, February 13 (QNA) - Al Sadd defeated Muaither 1-0 today, at Hamad Grand Stadium in Al Arabi Club, for the round of 16 of the 50th edition of the HH the Amir Football Cup for the 2021/22 season. Al Sadd hit a date in the quarterfinals with the winner of the Al Ahli and Al Markhiya match, which will be held on Monday at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium. Youssef Abdul Razzaq scored the winning goal for Al Sadd at the 14th minute. The match came at a good technical level in its first half, with a clear advantage for the Al Sadd, which managed to impose its style on the midfield, and controlled the course of play, thanks to the movements of its Spanish professional, Santi Cazorla, along with Rodrigo Tabata and Akram Afifs incursions in the left front, Muaither's defense and goalkeeper bore the brunt of Al Sadd's attacking attempts.
