HH the Amir Cup: Qatar Volleyball Association Amends Qualifiers Schedule

Doha, March 18 (QNA) - The Competitions Committee of the Qatar Volleyball Association, modified the schedule of the qualifying playoffs to the main roles of HH the Amir Cup championship for the current season during its meeting today at the headquarters. According to the amendment, the matches that were scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday) that bring together Al-Shamal vs Al-Khor, and Al-Sadd vs Al-Gharafa, were postponed to Friday at the Association headquarters, which will host all the tournament matches, provided that the matches of this phase will be concluded on Sunday, as announced previously. This stage of the qualifiers will witness the participation of the teams ranked fifth to the tenth in the general league competition, and will play in the group system, where the first group includes Al-Sadd, Al-Gharafa and Al-Rayyan teams, while the second group will include Al-Shamal, Al-Wakrah and Al-Khor. The first and second of each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, which will be held during the period from March 25 to April 7, in addition to the first four teams in the general league competition, namely: Police, Al-Ahli, Al-Arabi and Qatar.
