HH the Amir Sword Equestrian Festival Kicks Off on February 17

Doha, January 31 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani Sword Equestrian Festival will start on Feb. 17 for 3 days at the outer field of Qatar Equestrian Federation in Al Rayyan, the Qatar Equestrian Federation & Modern Pentathlon (QEFMP) announced today. The championship includes many rounds of showjumping at different heights and for different age groups. Secretary General of the Qatar Equestrian and Modern Pentathlon Federation Ali Al Rumaihi confirmed that the federation has been preparing for a long time to organize this big and important event, which is the largest competition organized by the federation in terms of prizes and heights, adding that participation in this season, will be for local riders. The Secretary General of the QEFMP pointing out that the championship will include three competitions (show jumping, dressage, and future riders competitions), adding that this year's championship comes in the middle of the equestrian sports season, so participation in it will be strong. Al Rumaihi added that the partnership between QEFMP and Al Shaqab has given Qatari cadres high experience in organizing tournaments, with the availability of high capabilities in terms of high-quality facilities as well as qualified technical staff, which had a clear impact on the high level of Qatari riders.
