HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad attends agreement signing ceremony

Manama, Nov.14 (BNA): The University of Bahrain (UoB) has today signed memorandum of cooperation with the General Sports Authority (GSA). Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, GSA Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the signing ceremony. UoB President Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al Mudhaihki and GSA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar inked the cooperation agreement. Under the deal, the university will support Khalid bin Hamad's Gold Generation seat initiative. In a statement on this occasion, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad stressed keenness to create a favourbale environment for outstanding players to succeed in their education and continue their sports career. "The agreement will allow outstanding sportsmen to join the university in order to enhance their talents and skills in scientific aspects", HH Shaikh Khalid said. Also present were Higher Education Council (HEC) Secretary-General Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa, UoB Deputy President for Community Service and Alumni Affairs Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al Ansari and other officials.
