HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Falconry winners awarded

Manama, Jan.9 (BNA): Bahrain Martial Arts Council Chairman His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa honoured the winners of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Falconry Championship for the public and professionals. The ceremony was held today at the Bahrain International Endurance Village in the area of Sakhir. The championship was organized by the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) Traditional Sports Committee as part of the 7th edition of Nasser bin Hamad Falconry and Hunting Season. HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa hailed the efforts of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and SCYS Chairman to translate the directives of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to conserve traditional sports which are part of Bahrain’s heritage. He stressed the importance of the Nasser bin Hamad Falconry and Hunting Season which engages Bahraini youth owners and participants to practice these sports, congratulating the winners in different categories. He also praised HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, SCYS First Deputy Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President for his efforts to promote and support traditional sports.
