HH Shaikh Khalid patronises Brave 10 in Jordan

Amman, Mar. 3 (BNA): In the presence His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, Honourary President of Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Association, and under his patronage, the competitions of Brave 10 Championship were held here on Friday, under the slogan of #Kingdom_Raising. HH Shaikh Khalid expressed delight at the good organisation of the Championship in the Hashemiate Jordanian Kingdom, which attracted the attention of the official parties. “First of all, we extend our thanks and appreciation to His Majesty King Abdulla II Ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan, for his directives to provide full support for the Championship,” HH Shaikh Khalid said. HH Shaikh Khalid also lauded His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives to consolidate Bahrain’s status at the international level through launching various initiatives especially in the sports field, and “Brave Championship is one of these initiatives that we sponsored and supported personally.” HH Shaikh Khalid also hailed the efforts of HM the King’s Personal Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to make Bahrain one of the advanced countries in the field of MMA Sport. HH Shaikh Khalid also appreciated the good level of the fighters who proved their good preparation for the Championship through their strong fights. HH Shaikh Khalid, and Prince Hussein Mirza, Jordanian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation President, crowned the Algerian fighter Elias Budigzadam, by the Championship Belt in Feather Weight, after his victory over the Polish fighter Jakob Koyalwijg in the fourth round. Prince Hussein Mirza, expressed his happiness over the success of Brave 10 Championship. He also has confirmed that the success of the Bahraini Championship is a success for Jordan as well. Brigadier-General Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Military Attaché at Bahrain’s Embassy in Jordan, confirmed that the distinguished efforts that HH Shaikh Khalid have enhanced the position of Bahrain in the field of sports internationally.
