HH Shaikh Nasser hails Bahrain Victorious' Tour de France results

Manama, July 19 (BNA): HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, said that the distinguished achievements of Team Bahrain Victorious at Tour de France reflect the progress of its performance at international sports gatherings, contributing to achieving the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, and promoting the kingdom in the best way. HH Shaikh Nasser expressed delight over the success of Bahrain Victorious cycling team in claiming the best team award, securing the climber award and winning three stages, noting that the team’s results will be a catalyst for attaining more successes in the future. During Tour de France, the Bahrain Victorious cycling team ranked first, clocking 249 hours, 16 minutes and 47 seconds, clinched the second best climber classification with 88 points and the third position at the level of points, with 227 points for winning three stages, namely the seventh, the eighth and the 19th. Dylan Teuns won stage 8, while Matej Mohoric claimed victory at the seventh and 19th stages. HH Shaikh Nasser extended congratulations to the UAE Emirates team for the success of its Slovenian cyclist, Tadej Pogacar, in winning Tour de France, wishing the team further success.
