HH Shaikh Nasser praises cyclist Matej Mohoric's Tour de France victory

Manama, July 16 (BNA): Matej Mohorič today won the 19th stage of Tour de France, his second stage victory at this year’s Tour, taking Bahrain Victorious’ tally up to three. On the occasion, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, affirmed that Bahrain’s achievements at international gatherings are the outcome of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s care and support for Bahraini sport, noting that the royal care has motivated athletes to do their utmost to reach podiums. HH Shaikh Nasser indicated that the successes of Team Bahrain Victorious in Tour de France embody the advanced level reached by Bahraini sport, lauding the success of cyclist Matej Mohorič in winning today’s stage despite fierce competition. HH Shaikh Nasser added that today’s victory increases the team’s gains, and motivates it to continue bringing about more achievements. HH Shaikh Nasser indicated that Team Bahrain Victorious has become a model to be emulated in achieving successes to the kingdom during its participation in external sporting events, as well as in promoting the kingdom’s efforts to achieve the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. HH Shaikh Nasser praised the efforts exerted by the team’s administrative and technical staff to ensure the success of cyclists, expressing his confidence in the team’s ability to claim more victories at the forthcoming competitions.
