Initiative to support Bahrain in the World Cup-AFC Qualifiers launched

Manama, May 29 (BNA): An initiative aimed at supporting Bahrain national football team during the the third round of 2022 FIFA World 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers has been announced. Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, Head of the General Sports (GSA), His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, directed to launch the campaign under hashtag #“Al Ahmar Can Do It”. Bahrain will host the remaining matches of the third round of Group C during the period running from Thursday (May3) until June 15. Under directives from HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the campaign to cheer the national team will be through conventional media and social media platforms, in light of the mandatory precautionary measures which were announced by the National Medical Taskforce for combating the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs, Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), the sports associations, national clubs and youth centres, official authorities and the private sector were urged to support the campaign.
