Iran’ Esteghlal seeks Gattuso

TEHRAN,June 27(MNA)--Iranian football club Esteghlal will open transfer negotiations with veteran Italian player Gennaro Gattuso, the team’s general manager announced. “One of my friends told me Gattuso is a good option for Esteghlal. If the player is interested in playing for Esteghlal we will sign him,” Esteghlal general manager Ali Fatollahzadeh said. The 34-year-old Sion midfielder had already expressed an interest in returning to his former club Rangers. Former Italy midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has agreed to a two-year deal with Swiss club Sion in mid-June. He was released by AC Milan at the end of last season after 13 years at the Serie A club.
