Iran, Afghanistan call for cooperation in university sports

Tehran, Nov 8, IRNA – Heads of Iran and Afghanistan National University Sports Federations underscored development of cooperation, saying that developing sports cooperation can provide the ground for exchanging scientific experiences between the universities of the two countries. Iran, Afghanistan call for cooperation in university sports President of the National University Sports Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Reza Dehkhoda in a meeting with his Afghan counterpart Manghoushedin Nasimi said that the cooperation between Sports Federations of the two countries will pave the way for participation in sports events. He expressed hope for developing academic cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan aiming at developing international relations to prepare the ground for holding scientific-sports workshops, joint camps and all-out competitions between universities. Nasimi said that Afghanistan wants to take advantage of Iran potentials. He called for holding Afghan students' national team camp in Iran especially for Taekwondo and Wushu teams which are scheduled to participate in the 29th World Students Competitions in China. 1378/IRNA
