Iran basketball team beats Yemen

TEHRAN,June 13(MNA)--Iran managed to defeat Yemen 65-35 in the opening day of the WABA (West Asian Basketball Association) qualifier in Amman on Monday. Iran’s Samad Nikkhah Bahrami was on top of the score sheet with 18 points. Iran will play Palestine in its next match. WABA competitions have brought a total of six teams together. The first three teams will qualify for the 4th FIBA Asia Cup 2012 which will be held in mid September in Japan.
