Iran comes 2nd at Asian Wushu Championships

TEHRAN,Aug.26(MNA)--Iran finished in second place at the 8th Asian Wushu Championships on Saturday. The Iranian athletes claimed six gold, four silver and three bronze medals in the competitions held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. China won the title championship and host Vietnam came third. The 8th Asian Wushu Championships began at Phu Tho Competition House in Ho Chi Minh City on August 21. Some 350 martial artists from 22 countries and territories competed in the Taolu and Sanshou events for nearly 40 sets of medals. The five-day tournament organized by the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Administration, HCM City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Municipal Martial Arts Federation, and An Vien Television (AVG).
