Iran to compete at the “Vehbi Emre” wrestling tournament

TEHRAN,Jan.31(MNA)--Iranian Greco-Roman delegation will fly to Istanbul on Thursday to take part in the 31st edition of Vehbi Emre Greco-Roman wrestling tournament. The two-day FILA’s Grand Prix tournament will start in Istanbul on February 2. Iran will participate in the competition with 12 Greco-Roman wrestlers. “The wrestling tournament is a good opportunity to test the young wrestlers,” Iran coach Jamshid Kheirabadi said. Iranian Greco-Roman wrestling team prepares for the 2012 World Cup, slated for February 19-20 in Tehran.
