Iran, Mauritania match behind closed doors

TEHRAN,April 18(MNA) – The Iran football team will face minnow Mauritania in a friendly match at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium behind closed doors on Wednesday. “In my opinion, it would be a good warm up match. Sometimes, Manchester United plays Hong Kong and these kinds of matches help the teams to prepare for the important competitions,” Iran football coach Carlos Queiroz said. The Persians will also host Mozambique's national team in Tehran's Azadi stadium on May 2. Iran is gearing up for the final stage of Asian qualifying for the 2014 World Cup. Carlos Queiroz’s team has been grouped with South Korea, Uzbekistan, Lebanon and Qatar in the competition.
