Iran played its best game ever, Germany coach says

TEHRAN,July 14(MNA) – Germany volleyball coach Vital Heynen praised the Iranian team after being defeated by them in the in the 2013 FIVB World League. Iran outscored Germany 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-20) at Azadi sport hall on Friday night in the FIVB World League, ending the German’s chance to attend the World League Finals in Argentina next week.. “First of all, congratulations to the Iran team,” said Heynen. “In my opinion they performed their best game.. Before the match I had estimated that the match would have 3-0 result. And perhaps we or Iran would get it. Our team is very young. We lost but we should perform a good game.” Germany captain, Schops Jochen also praised Iran’s performance in the match. He said, “We did not start the match with high concentration. Services of Iran were perfect which put pressure on us. We had seen the match of Serbia against Iran, we were aware about that. Going to Argentina was not our main goal. As Iran we were chasing learning lessons from each game.” Iran coach Julio Velasco is satisfied with the way his boys played against Germany. “I am glad that in the month of Ramadan we won 3-0 against Germany,” Velasco was quoted as saying by FIVB.com.
