Iran volleyball team heads to Japan

TEHRAN,May 27(MNA)--Iran left Tehran on Saturday to take part in the AVC Olympic Games Qualification Tournament, which will be held in Tokyo, Japan, from June 1 to June 10. Julio Vlasco has invited 12 players for the competition. The Persians must finish first if they want to book a place in the Olympics. “I’ve told my players they have to win the title and qualify for the Olympic Games. In the past two months, the players have changed their mentality and I think we are well-prepared to win the title in Japan. Iran has to play seven games in the competitions and we have to think separately to each game,” the 60-year-old said. Iran will face South Korea in its first game.
