Iran will make every effort to win sitting volleyball gold: coach

LONDON,Sept.8(MNA) - Iran sitting volleyball coach Hadi Rezaei said on Friday that the team is going to beat Bosnia-Herzegovina in the final match. Iran is scheduled to face the formidable Bosnian team on Saturday. "We defeated Bosnia in the group match, but that doesn’t mean we can defeat them again. Bosnia is a powerful team and could even defeat us. Everybody expects us to finish in first, and we feel pressure on our shoulders," Rezaei said. "Iran has nothing left but the final match, and we will do our best to win the title. At the moment, we have so many good teams in sitting volleyball, as you see Russia played very well against us in the semifinals. Therefore, there is no guarantee that we will become the champions," he added. Iran made its Paralympic debut in Seoul in 1988. Its men’s sitting volleyball team has won gold at every single Paralympic Games since then, except in 2004, when they lost 3-2 to archrivals Bosnia-Herzegovina in Athens.
