Iran wins Freestyle World Cup

TEHRAN,May 14(MNA)--Iran defeated host Azerbaijan on Sunday to win the 2012 Freestyle World Cup title. The Iranian team defeated Azerbaijan 4-3 in Baku and claimed the championship. The 2011 World Championship runner-up had already defeated Turkey (7-0), Georgia (5-2), Japan (5-2) and the U.S. (4-3) in Pool B. The U.S. finished in third place after beating Russia 5-2 in the bronze medal match.
