Iran wins gold in table tennis tournament

TEHRAN,June 26(MNA)--Iran’s Noshad Alamiyan claimed the gold medal at the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Euro-Africa Circuit on Monday. The Iranian defeated Egypt’s Omar Assar 11-8, 11-7, 9-11, 11-9, 9-11, 3-11, 11-9 and clinched the gold in the final of the U21 Boys Event. Iran’s Maryam Jalali Gorgan lost to Stephanie Loeuillette from France winning the silver medal in the U21 Girls Event. ITTF Euro-Africa Circuit 4th Hasan II Morocco Open was held in Rabat, Morocco from June 22 to 25.
