Iranian Students Win 10 Medals In Int'l Astronomy Olympiad

Tehran, Aug 14, IRNA – Iranian students have succeeded to grab 10 different medals in the 6th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics held in Brazil from August 4-14, it was reported Tuesday. The Iranian students won one gold, four silver and five bronze medals this year, said a statement issued by the Information Center of the Education Ministry. It added that some 134 students from 27 world countries participated in the event. From the total present groups in the contest, only Iran and the host country were allowed to have two participating teams, the statement added./end
