Iranian wrestler Reza Yazdani taken to hospital with knee injury

TEHRAN,Aug.13(MNA)--Iranian wrestler Reza Yazdani was taken to hospital on Sunday where he would undergo tests. The 96kg wrestler injured his right knee in the semifinals round of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Yazdani was forced to leave the mat with wheelchair after suffering a right knee injury in the competition against Valery Andriytsev of Ukraine and he failed to qualify for the repechage. “Reza (Yazdani) has likely suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee. He could qualify for the final round and it’s his misfortune,” Iran coach Mohammad Talaei said.
