Iranian wrestlers win three bronzes in Asian Championships

TEHRAN,April 23(MNA)--Three Iranian free-style wrestlers claimed bronze medals in the 2012 Asian Wrestling Championships. In the 66kg weight class, Rashid Kurbanov of Uzbekistan claimed the gold medal. Chinese Zhang Chongyao won the silver medal. The bronze medal went to Ezzatollah Akbari of Iran and Kohei Kitamura of Japan. Umidjon Ismanov of Uzbekistan won the gold medal in the 84kg and Aibek Usupov of Kyrgyzstan claimed the silver. Iran’s Ehsan Amini and Safarali Komildzoni of Tajikistan jointly won the bronze. South Korean Kim Jae-Gang seized the gold medal in the 96kg by defeating Rustam Iskandari of Tajikistan. Iran’s Hamed Tatari and Dorjkhandyn Khuderbulga of Mongolia won jointly the bronze medal. Parviz Hadi won Iran’s only gold medal in the 120kg on Sunday. More than 20 countries participated in the 2013 Asian Wrestling Championships at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in New Delhi, India.
